Best Walt Disney World Guidebooks
The Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger
Find it here: The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2019
In my opinion this is the most comprehensive guidebook for Walt Disney World. Filled with every detail from how to navigate the Orlando airport to what age group will most enjoy each attraction, the Unofficial Guide gives you the straight scoop on what you can expect. I would buy this book just for the touring plan recommendations alone.
Birnbaum’s Walt Disney World: The Official Guide
Find it here: Birnbaum’s 2018 Walt Disney World: The Official Guide
Birnbaum’s is always guaranteed to get me excited to visit Walt Disney World. Loaded with photos and details about all the attractions, as well as dining, shopping, and hotel information, the Birnbaum’s book gives a great overview of what you’ll find at Disney World.

Just as detailed as the Disney World version, the Unofficial Guide To Universal Orlando offers tons of information to help you plan and navigate your trip to Universal. With its superb touring plan advice, and information about every aspect of the theme parks, dining, hotels, and beyond, this book will really help you get the most out of your Universal vacation.
Not a guidebook, but if you’re going to Universal and you haven’t read these yet:

Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World’s Best Kept Secrets by Steven M. Barrett

Many guests never notice them, but there are hundreds of images of Mickey Mouse hidden throughout Walt Disney World. This guide describes all the Mickeys and where to find them. A fabulous way to kill time waiting in line, you’ll want to carry this book into the parks with you.
The Haunted Mansion: Imagineering a Disney Classic, by Jason Surrell
